Yläkerran työhuoneeseen vievien portaiden mallia on mietitty vuoden takaisesta kirjoituksesta lähtien. Silloin pyydettiin tarjouksia vain teräs/lasi -rakenteisista portaista, koska haluaisimme portaiden olevan talon henkeen sopivan modernit sekä sirot ja ilmavat. Vastaukset tarjouspyyntöihin saatiin ko. kirjoituksessa mainituilta vain SteelPro:lta, Caavalta ja Taitotuotteelta. Hinnat vaihtelivat noin 6500 ja 8500 euron välillä rahteineen ja asennettuna.

Portaiden mitat ovat myös matkan varrella hieman muuttuneet ja ihan suorat eivät paikalleen mahdu, koska silloin Suomen rakentamismääräyskokoelman F2-osion (PDF) ohjeet minimietenemästä ja maksiminoususta eivät täyty. Tässä joka tapauksessa kaavio tulevista portaista. Alapäähän mutkaa emme halunneet, koska se olisi vienyt tilaa ruokapöydältä. Niinpä tuonne yläosan tasanteelle pitää tehdä yksi ylimääräinen vino askelma jotta saadaan portaista tarpeeksi loivat:

 

Portaat menevät siis olohuoneesta työhuoneeseen, kts. pohjakuvat tuolta Suunnitelmat-sivulta. Pohjakuvasta poiketen ovi aukeaa huoneeseen sisäänpäin.

Teräsportaiden hinta on vähän hirvittänyt, erityisesti kun budjetti ei muutenkaan ole ihan pitänyt. Pyysimme nyt sitten tarjouksia lisää ja tällä kertaa myös puuportaista. SteelPro ja Caava jätettiin pois, koska olivat kalleimmat viimeksikin ja Taitotuotetta lukuunottamatta muut teräsportaiden tekijät eivät taaskaan vastanneet. Taitotuotteelta vastaus taas tuli pikaisesti, vaikka hinta oli ymmärrettävästi vuoden takaisesta hieman noussut. Myös mittamuutos vaikutti asiaan.

Puuporrastarjouspyynnöt lähtivät seuraaville: Hovinikkarit, Tähtiporras, Westwood, Kotiolo ja Ekipuu. Ekipuu ei ole vastannut, muilta tarjous on jo saatu tai ainakin luvattu. Hinnat pinnakaiteilla vaihtelivat noin 3500 euron ja lasikaiteilla noin 4500 euron molemmin puolin.

Koska portaat tulevat erittäin näkyvälle paikalle olohuoneeseen ja ovat pitkäaikainen ratkaisu, tulimme pitkän miettimisen jälkeen lopulta siihen tulokseen että tässä kohtaa on väärä paikka säästää. Kunhan saamme värit päätettyä, portaat tilataan Taitotuotteelta hyvän tarjouksen ja erinomaisen palvelun takia.

Portaat tulevat näyttämään suunnilleen alla olevan kuvan mukaisilta, paitsi että runko lienee hieman eri sävyinen harmaa ja askelmat sekä käsijohde petsataan lattialaminaatin värisiksi:

    Nyt kun asiaa miettii, niin kierreportaat ei oikein taitaisi mahtua tuohon, terassin maisemaikkuna/liukuovi on sen verran leveä. Kuvissa portaat ovat nyt n. 90 cm leveät ja kierreportaan kokonaisleveys pitäisi olla varmaan kahden metrin paikkeilla jotta niissä mahtuisi kunnolla kulkemaan.

    Tuo Arkè Kloè on kyllä kohtuullisen tylikäs.

    Jossain messuilla katseltiin vähän vastaavan näköisiä ”kevytportaita” kuin nuo Arken Komoda, mutta ne oli jotenkin hölmön näköisiä eikä vaikuttaneet kovin tukevilta.

    Toisaalta ihmetyttää kyllä myös miten nuo Karina tai Kya menee läpi noista rakennusmääräyksistä muuten kuin parvikäytössä.

Me toivottiin aluksi samanlaisia portaita mutta pohjaa jouduttiin pienentämään, kun neliöt alkoi karata käsistä ja niin portaiden malliakin jouduttiin muuttamaan. Ja u-mallissa tuollaiset portaat menee jotenkin hukkaan. Ne pitäis saada just noin suoraan niin kuin teillä :)
