Sain ehdotuksen kirjoittaa maalämpökokemuksistamme. Tämä on siis maksettu mainos. Ei tosin Tom Allenin taholta joka siis toimitti oman maalämpöjärjestelmämme.

Miksi ylipäätään valitsimme maalämmön? Perustelut löytyvät tuolta UKK-sivulta, mutta säästän sinulta klikkauksen ja lainaan itse itseäni tähän:

Edellisessä talossa oli suorasähkölämmitys pattereilla. Se oli kallista. Kaukolämpö epäilyttää monopolin ja hintojen nousun takia. Öljy ei ole tätä päivää ja puupelletit hankalia. Poistoilmalämpöpumppumyyjä sanoi ettei se yksin riitä. Vesi-ilmalämpöpumppu on liian riippuvainen ulkoilman lämpötilasta.

Maalämpö siis valittiin ja toimittajaksi valikoitui Tom Allen:

Tarjous oli hinnaltaan keskitasoa, ei halvin mutta ei kalleinkaan. Tuntui siltä että toiset tarjosivat pienempää pumppua lähinnä sen takia että saavat hintaa painettua alaspäin. Valitsimme Tom Allenin lähinnä suositusten, tehokkaamman pumpun, paremman takuun ja toimituksen kattavamman sisällön takia.

Toimitus ja asennus sujui hyvin, meidän ei tarvinnut paljon muuta tehdä kuin availla ovia. Varsinaisia kokemuksia muista toimittajista ei ole mutta jos vertaan juttuihin joita olen kuullut, niin Tom Allenin eduksi luettakoon lisäksi mm. se että asentajat kantoivat itse pumpun autosta tekniseen tilaan ja porausjäte kerättiin talteen ja kuljetettiin pois. Vaivatonta oli myös se että lämpökaivo, pumppu ja lattialämmitys asennuksineen tuli kaikki yhdestä paikasta. Ei tarvinnut sumplia usean toimittajan kesken.

Entäpä sitten käyttö? Pienen säätämisen jälkeen koko härvelin on voinut melko pitkälti unohtaa. Toki olen välillä käynyt katsomassa että kaikki on kunnossa, mutta muuten tuota ei ole tarvinnut ihmetellä. Lämpöä on riittänyt tasaisesti. Vähän liiankin, sillä meinaa tuo takan hyödyntäminen jäädä vähiin. Myös lämmintä vettä on riittänyt hyvin, vaikkei erillistä varaajaa olekaan. Saas nähdä miten käy kun pikkuraksaaja kasvaa teini-ikään ja alkaa lotraamaan enemmän…

Sähkönkulutuksesta Kristiina teki selkoa tässä kirjoituksessa. Lyhyesti voisi sanoa että olemme oikein tyytyväisiä.

Kaiken kaikkiaan tuntuu siltä että maalämpö oli meille hyvä valinta.     Tämä sama tilanne eli takka+maalämpö on tulossa meille myös (maalämpö tosin vasta ekan asumisvuoden jälkeen verotussyistä tai ainakin kokeilunhalusta kotitalousvähennykseen), ja olen sitä vähän itsekin tässä pohdiskellut, että onko se jo itsensä kidutusta, jos maalämmöllä lämmittäisi taloa ihan vaikka vain 16-17 asteeseen saakka? Ja siitä sitten ylöspäin lämmittäisi puilla. Puita varmaankin muistaa lisäillä viimeistään silloin, jos tulee vilu…

    • Jos meinaat jaksaa puita poltella jatkuvasti, niin eikös silloin kannattaisi harkita VILPpiä tai PILPpiä? Jäisi investointikustannukset varmaan hieman pienemmiksi.

  2. Eipä kannata maalämpötalossa puita poltella. Tuli koitettua ja koko homman palkka oli 0.7€ / pv. Naapuri osti halkopinon niin kovalla hinnalla että saan enemmän energiaa maalämmön kautta kun oli puiden teoreettinen energiansisältö.

    Puita on nyt varastossa 3vkon sähkökatkoa varten…olkoot siellä.

  3. Ostopuilla ei maalämpötalossa kannata missään tapauksessa lämmitellä, jos säästää meinaa. Jos on omia ilmaisia puita, niin niitä voi polttaa. Vaihtoehtona on tietty niiden omien puiden myynti, mutta ei sekään ihan vaivatonta ole.

  4. Sillä tavalla tuon puun yhteiskäytön voisi kyllä toteuttaa kustannustehokkaasti, että puulla lämmitettäisiin maalämmön lämmittämää lämmityskierron menovettä. Silloin lämpöpumppu voisi operoida matalammalla painetasolla, jolloin lämpökerroin on korkeampi.

    Eli siis lämpöpumppu jauhaa ensin lämpöä veteen, josta se viedään vesitakkaan/puukattilaan ja siellä siihen tuupataan lisää lämpöä. Sieltä vesi lähtee lämmityskiertoon ja palaa sitten taas lämpöpumpulle ja sitten sama homma uusiksi. Myös käyttöveden lämmitys puulla voi olla kannattavaa, koska maalämmön lämpökerroin on käyttövettä tehtäessä huonoimmillaan.

    Perinteistä puunpolttoa ei ostopuilla tosiaan oikein saa maalämmöllä kannattavaksi.

    Maalämpöön on muutenkin kiva yhdistellä kaikenlaisia lämmönlähteitä. Mulla on jäteilmakanavassa talteenotto maalämmön keruupiiriin ja samalla logiikalla tarkoitus toteuttaa autotallin LTO.

    Parhaiten maalämmön ja puunpolton yhteiskäyttö toimii niin, että jättää takan hankkimatta ja ostaa niillä rahoilla maalämpöpumpulle sähköä. Tosin löytyy se takka itseltänikin ihan jo periaatteesta. Taloudellisessa mielessä siinä ei kuitenkaan ole järkeä.

  5. Tuossa olikin Heikillä aika paljon mielenkiintoisia vinkkejä. Lisään ideoiden joukkoon vielä yhden, eli kun saunassa kylvetään ja on puukiuas, niin suihkulle ja saunaosastolle menevän kupariputken voisi vetään savuhormin ympärille, jolloin lämmin käyttövesi ehtii lämmetä vielä hiukan kiukaan lämmöllä, ja boilerissa oleva lämmin vesi kuluu vähemmän.

    Jos omassa talossani toteutan (ehkä näin teen, ehkä en – pitää miettiä) nuo Heikin kertomat ideat niin, tässä vaiheessa talon suunnittelua maalämpöpumpun ja lähimmän tulipesän eli saunan kiukaan välinen etäisyys on noin 10 metriä. Eli lenkkiin tarvitaan aina 20 metriä putkea ja hyötyä saa silloin kun puukiukaassa palaa tuli.

    Silloin kun on omia puita ja omia metsää ja metsän hoitamisessa tulee paljon sellaistakin puuta, jota ei millään järkevällä hintaa kehtaa myydä, niin silloin se puu jää omaan käyttöön. Tai sitten jääköön metsään ja lahotkoon siellä.

    Maalämpö on tosiaan omien laskelmieni mukaan myös niin halpaa, että ei siinä käytännössä mitään säästä, vaikka omia puitakin polttelisi vielä lisäksi.

    Toki takan polttaminen on mukavaa noin muuten, samoin kuin puukiukaalla saunominenkin. Mutta jos maalämmöstä jo saadaan talo riittävän lämpöiseksi, niin äkkiä on vastassa toinen ongelma – eli talo onkin äkkiä liian kuuma ja pitää pistää ikkunaa auki tai jotain.
