Ihan pihalla, osa 2 – suunnitelmasta toteutukseen

Hyvin suunniteltu on puoliksi tehty, sanotaan. Pihan osalta lähestyimme toteutusta laatimalla pihasuunnitelman pohjalta työselityksen ja liittämällä sen tarjouspyyntöön, jonka lähetimme usealle piharakentamista harjoittavalle yritykselle (huhti – toukokuun vaihteessa). Myönnän, myöhässä olimme, sillä tarjouskierros olisi pitänyt aloittaa jo talvella. Jälleen kerran törmäsimme tähän rakentamisen ja rakennuttamisen salaperäiseen sykliin, jossa olet joko etuajassa, myöhässä tai kerta kaikkiaan väärään aikaan liikkeellä.

Nihkeästä alusta huolimatta saimme kuin saimmekin (Harrin aktiivisen sähköposti- ja puhelinpainostuksen tuloksena) viisi tarjousta piharakentamisen toteutuksesta. Lisäksi (kuten melkein jokaisella aiemmallakin tarjouspyyntökierroksella) pari lupausta perehtyä asiaan mahdollisimman pian. Tarjouksen jättäneestä kaikki vaivautuivat myös paikan päälle, tosin hieman hämäräksi jäi, milloin yksi näistä käynneistä oli tapahtunut.

Tässä yhteydessä pari sanaa tarjouskierrokseen liittyneestä sivujuonteesta: Olemme pääsääntöisesti saaneet todella asiallista palvelua kaikilta rakennusprojektiimme osallistuneilta tahoilta, joiden edustajat ovat myös olleet pääsääntöisesti miehiä (tämä erityishuomiona naiselta). Pihojen suunnittelu ja toteutus tuntuu kuitenkin olevan se osa-alue rakentamisesta, joka ei ole yhtä miesvaltainen kuin muut. Ja kuinka ollakaan, naisena törmäsin ensimmäistä kertaa tämän projektin aikana myös toistuvasti mielestäni epäammattimaiseen suhtautumiseen meihin asiakkaina. Ennakkoasenne tuntui olevan, että me – erityisesti minä – emme maallikkoina (itse pidän enemmän termistä amatööri) voi olla perillä pihan suunnitteluun, rakentamiseen tai kasvien valintaan liittyvistä asioista. Tuo asenne oli tarjouspyyntövaiheessa jopa niin suorasukainen, että olin valmis hylkäämään parikin tarjousta pelkästään asenteen perusteella. Miten voisimme tehdä yhteistyötä tahon kanssa, joka ei osaa suhtautua meidän toiveisiimme asiallisesti. Otamme toki vastaan kritiikkiä ja perusteltuja muutosehdotuksia, mitä tulee pihamme toteutukseen, mutta tuo kritiikki ja ehdotukset on parasta esittää rakentavasti! Jälleen kerran (nyt tarkkana!) parasta palvelua saimme mieheltä, joka edusti Espoon Kivityö nimistä yritystä. Heillä osataan panostaa asialliseen asiakaspalveluun – terveiset ja kiitokset sinne!

Kaivettu, muotoiltu, täytetty ja levitetty. Sitten istuttamaan.

Kaikki saamamme tarjoukset liikkuivat suunnilleen samassa hintaraamissa. Pihan rakentaminen on kallista, mutta ei niin kallista kuin kuvittelimme. Tarjousten perusteella pihamme rakentaminen ulkopuolisen toimesta olisi tullut kustantamaan hieman reilu 30 tuhatta euroa. Mutta, mutta. Tarjoukset oli eritelty per yksikkö ja lopullinen toteutuskustannus olisi ollut riippuvainen siitä, olimmeko laskeneet tarjouspyynnössä esittämämme pihan alat oikein (kukaan tarjouksen jättäneistä ei tarkistanut aloja). Lisäksi tarjouksiin sisältyi esim. maanvaihdot ja muotoilut urakkana, mutta vain tiettyyn syvyyteen asti. Jokainen ylimääräinen kauhan kuopaisu tai multakuutio olisi tietysti maksanut erikseen. Tarjoukset eivät sisältäneet esim. terassien tekoa tai kasveja ja niiden istuttamista – nuo kustannukset olisivat siis tulleet tarjousten päälle. Pääsääntöisesti tuohon em. 30 tuhannen euron summaan olisi sisältynyt maanvaihto ja -muokkaus (tiettyyn syvyyteen asti, sisältäen mullan ja kaatopaikkamaksut), siirtonurmen noin 100 m2 alalle asennettuna, kiveykset noin 70 m2 alalle asennettuna sekä autopihan ja pihatien asfaltoinnin (pariin tarjoukseen asfaltointia ei sisältynyt).

Vallihauta? Kosteikko? Eikun ”uima-allas”, jos pikkuraksaajalta kysytään.

Ja mihin päädyimme? Tätä blogia seuranneenna olette jo varmasti havainneet, että hylkäsimme lopulta kaikki tarjoukset ja päätimme toteuttaa pihamme itse, yhteistyössä jo useasti aiemmin luotettavuutensa ja osaamisensa osoittaneen Maarakennus Elg Oy:n kanssa. Toki pihan rakentaminen omatoimisesti on raskasta, aikaaviepää ja hintavaakin, mutta myös palkitsevaa ja sellaista puhaa, jota osaamme ja kykenemme itse tekemään. Säästöäkin tulee tarjouksiin verrattuna, jos omaa työpanostamme ei mitata rahassa. Ja toteutuksen saa tehdä juuri niin kuin itse haluaa – meni sitten syteen tai siihen saveen, jota tällä tontilla riittää!
