Ensimmäisen vuoden sähkönkulutus

Reilu vuosi on nyt asuttu talossa ja lienee aika aloittaa sarja kirjoituksia myös asumiskokemuksista. Hyvä aloitus lienee tutkailla ensimmäisen vuoden sähkönkulutusta.

Uusia huonekaluja

Muutimme taloon touko – kesäkuun vaihtessa 2011. Elokuussa kilpailutimme sähkönmyyjät ja voittajaksi selviytyi Helen (Helsingin energia), jonka kanssa solmimme elokuun 17. päivä 2011 alkaen kahden vuoden määräaikaisen sopimuksen kiinteällä hinnalla. Olemme aiemminkin olleet Helenin asiakkaita ja jo silloin koimme yhtiön palvelumotivaation ja -käytännöt hyviksi; ja tuo mielipide pitää edelleen. Tänään siis muistaessani kirjauduin Helenin online-palveluun katsastamaan yhteenvedon ensimmäisen sopimusvuoden sähkönkulutuksesta. Toki asia olisi selvinnyt jo aiemmin tutkailemalla Fortumin siirtolaskuja, mutta… enpä tutkaillut.

Onks tää sähkökaapeli?

Ja sitten niitä lukuja: Välillä 17.8.2011 – 16.8.2012 sähköä on kulunut yhteensä 14030 kWh. Talvikuukausina sähköä on kulunut reilusti yli tuhat kilovattituntia per kuukausi – huippu taisi olla helmikuussa – ja vähiten kulutusta on ollut tietysti kesäkuukausina. Tänä kesänä tosin heinäkuussa meni enemmän sähköä kuin kesäkuussa, mikä selittynee sillä, että maalasimme taloa ja käytössämme oli sähkötoiminen henkilönostin – lisäksi muutamana yönä ilmanvaihtokoneen kesäjäähdytys oli päällä koko yön. Vertailutietona mainittakoon, että viimeisenä asumisvuonna edellisessä talossamme (104 m2, kahdessa tasossa, sähkölämmitys, ilmalämpöpumppu ja takka, rakennusvuosi 2004) kulutimme 19460 kWh, huolimatta tietoisesta yrityksestämme säästää sähköä. Koska tapamme käyttää sähköä tuskin on tässä välissä muuttunut kovin radikaalisti, ja huomioiden, että perheemme henkilömääräkin on kasvanut yhdellä, selitys nykyiselle alhaisemmalle sähkönkulutukselle ei löydy meistä sähkön käyttäjistä.

Makkarat paistuvat meheviksi induktio-liedellä.

Mikä on muuttunut? Talo on isompi (lämmitettävää alaa on nyt noin 150 m2) ja kyljessä vielä melkein 50 m2 autotalli-varasto. Lisäksi tosiaan väkimäärä ja sen seurauksena myös esim. pyykin määrä on kasvanut. Ensimmäisenä vuonna lämmityksen ja ilmanvaihdon säädötkin kuluttivat vähän ekstraa ennen kuin kaikki säädöt saatiin kohdilleen. Toisaalta, valaistuksessa on käytössä vähemmän halogeeneja ja olohuoneen isot ikkunat tuovat pimeämpinäkin vuodenaikoina sen verran valoa sisälle, että päivävalaistuksen tarve on vähentynyt merkittävästi. Kaikki kodinkoneet ovat uusia (pesutornia lukuun ottamatta) ja vähemmän kuluttavia, myös tv:t. Talossa on paksummat seinät, parempi eristys, se ei vedä eikä vuoda ja lämmönjako tapahtuu vesikiertoisella lattialämmityksellä (versus sähköpatterit seinillä). Lisäksi ilmanvaihtokoneessa on lämmön talteenotto, joka lämmittää tuloilmaa eli kaikenlainen vetoisuuden tunne on vähentynyt radikaalisti (vanhassa talossa korvausilma tuli suoraan ulkoa ikkunoiden päällä olevista venttiileistä, hyrrrr!) Ja, ja, ja… ai niin: meillä on maalämpö.

Tuolta se lämpö otetaan.

Toki sähköä voisi mennä vielä vähemmän, jos: Minä en kokisi alle 23 asteen sisälämpötilaa liian alhaiseksi (lapsuus tropiikissa jättää jälkensä). Polttaisimme takkaa talven aikana usemmin kuin 5 kertaa (se siitä tunnelmoinnista). Kuivaisin pyykkiä enemmän narulla kuin kuivurissa (minkäs teet kun yöllä huomaat, että seuraavaksi päiväksi ei ole enää puhdasta vaatetta lapsen päälle pantavaksi). Minä, mies ja lapsi emme kaikki nauttisi niin kovin pitkistä lämpimistä suihkuista (ks. alla, milloin saunamme valmistuu?). Emme heinäkuun aikana ”leikkisi” kolmea viikkoa sähkökäyttöisellä henkilönostimella (nosturin sähkönkulutus laski varmaan puoleen kun vihdoin tajusimme sammuttaa kojeen aina silloin kun ei ollut tarvetta liikuttaa sitä). Autotallissa ei olisi sähkölämmitystä (mitä siellä ei viime talvena edes ollut asennettuna, mutta irtopatterimme olivatkin sitten aika tehokkaita). Koko ajan ei olisi tietsikka (tai pari) päällä sekä televisio yksikseen huhuilemassa tv-huoneessa (”joku” on muuten siitä rasittava tyyppi, että jättää aina tv:n päälle kun poistuu sen äärestä).

Ilmojen halki käy…

Toisaalta sähköä voisi mennä enemmänkin, jos: Seuraava talvi olisikin erityisen poikkeuksellisen kylmä ja pitkä. Saisimme vihdoin saunan valmiiksi ja saunomiskuntoon ja olisimmekin poikkeuksellisen innokkaita saunojia. Saisimme ulkovalot paikoilleen ja haluaisimme pitää niitä usein päällä. Muutenkin viihtyisimme enemmän valossa ja valaistuksessa. Ja sähkösaha tai -sirkkeli laulaisi taas useammin.

Kun tästä aukosta kurkistaa niin joskus tulevaisuudessa näkyy myös sauna!

Olen tyytyväinen sähkönkulutuslukemaan, joka on pienempi kuin rakennusprojektimme alkuaikoina uskalsin edes toivoa, vaikka suunnitteluvaiheen viitteellinen energiatodistus lupailikin hyvää. Tältä osin projektimme on siis varsin onnistunut. Toki on varmasti pilvin pimein talonsa samaan aikaan rakentaneita, joilla on vielä tiiviimpi talo, paksummat seinät, enemmän eristettä…. ja pienempi sähkönkulutus. Kivat teille!

Anonyymi kyseli tuolla kommenteissa maalämpöpumpun käyttötunteja vuodessa. Eipä ole tullut pidettyä kirjaa, mutta lämmöt on laitettu päälle maaliskuun lopussa viime vuonna ja eilen pumpun loki näytti tältä:

Eli vuosi ja seitsemän kuukautta pumppu on nyt pyörinyt. Pari ensimmäistä kuukautta lämmöt oli vähän pienemmällä, eikä lämmintä vettä käytetty kun muutettiin vasta kesäkuun alussa.

Karkeasti laskien tuosta tullee suunnilleen sama 2000 tuntia / vuosi kuin Anonyymilläkin. Mainittakoon vielä että takkaa ei juurikaan ole tuona aikana käytetty.
