Tontin löytymisen riemun tasaannuttua tuli lievä paniikki. Mitäs hemmettiä me nyt tehdään? Meidän pitää rakentaa talo! Apua! Tärkeimpänä asiana laitettiin tietysti ensimmäiseksi talotehtaiden taloesitteet tilaukseen. Ei sentään alettu vielä kaakeleita valitsemaan, vaikka Kristiina vähän yritti…

Pankista oli jo aiemmin kyselty mahdollisuuksistamme tälläiseen projektiin, mutta nyt oli jotain konkreettista, joten Nordeaan, mars. Siellä homma toimi niinkuin aina, kiitos Tuijan.

Emme halunneet jäädä kahden asunnon loukkuun, joten Ylästön talo piti laittaa myyntiin. Huoneistokeskus oli myynyt aiemminkin asuntojamme lievään ylihintaan ja äkkiä, joten sieltä välittäjä paikalle. Arvio oli ehkä aavistuksen omia ajatuksiamme korkeampi, erityisesti taantuma huomioiden, joten sopimus syntyi. Näyttö oli syyskuun ensimmäisenä viikonloppuna. Ja talo vietiin suorastaan käsistä!

Vaikka tuo tietysti hienoa olikin, paniikkimme ei varsinaisesti hellittänyt, sillä olimme ajatelleet taloa myytävän ehkä puolikin vuotta. Pitäisi löytää äkkiä paikka johon muuttaa ja organisoida koko muutto. Taas kerran kaikki kamat pakettiin. Onneksi vuokra-asunto löytyi kohtuullisen kivuttomasti Rastaspuistosta, muutaman kilometrin päästä työpaikastani. Vajaa 80 neliöinen rivarin pätkä, johon melkein kaikki tavaramme mahtuisivat.
